Community Partners

Our school could not be more fortunate to have established relationships with various community partners throughout New London, Southeastern Connecticut, and the Northeast. As our school continues to grow, our community partners are a key to providing our students with experiential learning opportunities that take them beyond the traditional classroom. 

  • Appalachian Mountain Club/ YOP: The mission of the AMC's Youth Opportunities Program (YOP) is to make the outdoors accessible and meaningful to urban and at-risk youth. YOP operates as a resource center for youth agencies throughout the Northeast, teaching youth workers the skills they need to independently take their youth outdoors.


  • Kids, Books and Athletics Program & ENRICH @ Connecticut College: Project KBA promotes reading and physical fitness. In addition, ENRICH is an afterschool program designed to mentor and expose students to  workshops in the arts and humanities.


  • New England Science & Sailing: Participants will experience the application of science and math principles to the sports of sailing and kayaking.


  • Project Adventure: An international, non-profit organization, headquartered in Massachusetts. Specializing in providing individuals with the tools necessary to challenge themselves to grow by overcoming perceived limitations

 

  • United States Coast Guard Academy

 

  • Water Awareness Program @ UCONN Avery Point: Participants will have the opportunity to improve their strength in the water. If they are non-swimmers they will receive lessons with a ratio of two students per 1 instructor.


  • Groton New London Airport


  • USTA in conjunction with Lyme Shores Tennis & Conditioning Center: Participants receive tennis lessons from Tennis Pro Andre Danford @ Mitchell College in New London.
